“We grabbed the opportunity to celebrate American Independence Day, and also to raise money and awareness for the Cork Admirals football team,” Admirals Head Coach, Chris Gaughan, said at the launch. “We’re bringing together some ‘American as apple pie’ elements and hope that loads of people will turn out for a great day of football, food and fun at Blarney Castle on the Fourth of July.”
